FIXED PROSTHETICS
Fixed prosthetics is a branch of prosthetics which includes works that are, after being fixed in your mouth, no longer being removed and the patient then sees them as their own. They include crowns (covers) and bridges made of ceramics which faithfully mimic the look of natural teeth, are firm and do not change color at the same time.
Depending on the type of material they are made of, there is:
Metal ceramics, where the basic metal structure is entirely covered with ceramics, which meets the aesthetic and functionality criteria.
Nonmetal (press) ceramics, being used with patients who seek top aesthetics because the transparency of natural teeth can be achieved. With minimal grinding, a high mechanical resistance is fulfilled.
Zirconium oxide ceramics is mainly used on the front teeth, but there are often works that include the back teeth, even for those of a large range. Because of its white color, and high-strength quality, it is used as a substitute for metal.
